Route recalculating…

Biggest mistake

I took the wrong exit.

I picked my college by my marks. The cutoff was really high, but it wasn't what I actually loved, and the classes didn't teach the stuff I wanted to do.

So I recalculated.

I taught myself to build with AI, wrote my own scripts, and kept doing editing and design on the side, as a hobby.

Q. Why Wispr Flow?

“Brother, Wispr Flow is just smooth and hands-free as my laptop is SH*T. It autocorrects itself and knows how my tone works and mainly works with my not-good, not-perfect English or my Indian accent so I really like it.”

Word for word, one star added. The accent part is why it matters in India.

What I'd launch for Wispr Flow India

Sahi suna? (Heard that right?)

Building this road, Wispr misheard my city, a ghat and my number plate. Every Indian has words like that.

So India says them out loud. Creators dictate the hardest names in one breath and post what got typed, red lines and all.

Every miss becomes a share card and a word in Wispr's dictionary. India teaches it to hear India.

Truck logbook · MH 20 KT 2004

Built by voice

I didn't type this road. I talked it. Every change started as something I said out loud: Wispr Flow typed it, Claude built it. Here is the log, word for word, typos and all.

The log

  1. 31 Oct

“I can win Bangalore orbe in Bangalore in November.”

Nothing. Wispr Flow just believed in me more than I did.

  2. 31 Oct

“I think we should discard this voiceover thing, as it will get more complicated and difficult to match with the scrolling.”

No recorded voiceover. The road got engine, horn and brake sounds instead.

  3. 31 Oct

    “Lock it, start building”

Version one of this site started: a cinematic multiverse.

  4. 2 Nov

“All right, bro. I'll be honest with you: this design looks mid-ass, boring AF.”

Version one went in the bin. We started again from zero.

  5. 2 Nov

“Bro, I just like the oraloverall concept of how we are going, but I did not like the visuals at all.”

Everything became paper cutouts glued to popsicle sticks.

  6. 2 Nov

“With the sun, you have glued the stick in front of the sun. Glue it behind the sun.”

Every stick now sits behind its cutout, like a real paper puppet.

  7. 2 Nov

“You can put that over there, not the complete square shape from West to My Capwaist to my cap.”

The first board became an RTO driving licence with my blocky character, cropped waist to cap.

  8. 2 Nov

“The "Chhatrapati Shivaji NagarSambhajinagar" text just below the search bar, where I can see it, is not centered.”

The stop name in the top bar is centred now.

  9. 2 Nov

“The MS 20MH 20 KT 22: instead of 22 put 2004 over there.”

The number plate reads MH 20 KT 2004.

  10. 2 Nov

“Move that bush a little to the right.”

The bush moved. "Scroll to drive" is visible again.

  11. 2 Nov

“It is my hobby, but I'm mainly a tech guy.”

Every board was rewritten to lead with AI. Editing and design moved to "also licensed for".

  12. 2 Nov

“The heartghat section feels a little bit empty when we are climbing up.”

The ghat climb got a monkey on a chai break and a hidden hammer.

  13. 2 Nov

“Instead of DitorDetour, where we have shown the barricade type, show something like "Ghat is starting" or "It's starting."”

The barricade now says "Ghat starts here".

  14. 2 Nov

“And what an impressive work with the NutriFlowNutriBowl.”

Nothing. Even Wispr Flow thinks my startup should be named after it.

  15. 2 Nov

“Instead of that, we just show them stacked over each other next to the dhaba.”

The row of posters became the pile by the dhaba. The road got a screen shorter.

  16. 2 Nov

    “Yes, build both”

    This logbook. You're reading it.

  17. 2 Nov

“Man, I don't even drink chai or coffee. I'm a chicken poultrypaglu, a protein poultrypaglu.”

My licence's blood group went from "Chai +ve" to "Chicken paglu".

  18. 2 Nov

“We can put a play/pause button so it plays my voice, my actual voice, when I am giving the dictation to the Wispr Flow.”

Four boards got a play button. You hear the raw dictation, then read what it became.

  19. 3 Nov

“For the end, after post-editingpost-credits, "Our truck is going nowhere," I want it to stop at the end, somewhere the road is ending or at a stop.”

The road now ends at Wispr Flow's office. The truck parks there and honks.

  20. 3 Nov

“That "honk" in my dictatordictated voice: remove that. Keep it raw as it is. We don't care.”

The bleeps came out. The voice notes play raw, swear words and all.

  21. 3 Nov

“We have not mentioned anywhere that now the NutriBallNutriBowl is shut down”

The nutrition label got a red CLOSED stamp. Wispr Flow has now renamed my startup twice.

  22. 3 Nov

“We have to fill a few things in the placeholder: real shotreels shot and edited”

The label's reels count says IDK. It's the honest number.

  23. 3 Nov

“In the post-credit change about the laptop, you have put SEETITT. What is that?”

Not Wispr's fault: Claude had written "seeti!", a pressure-cooker whistle. Nobody got it. The laptop now says "whirrr!"

  24. 3 Nov

“Later on, the phrase "use deeperdipper at night, use email anytime" is not really rhyming well.”

The back panel now says: "Honking won't reach me from there. Email will."

  25. 3 Nov

    “KanaraKannada translation is correct.”

The Kannada welcome in Bengaluru stays as it is.

  26. 3 Nov

“The Marathi thing, the Marathi translation, I gave it, but it is not looking the same on the website. I guess it is the fault of the font”

Right guess: the font was splitting joined Marathi letters apart. The signs read properly now.

  27. 3 Nov

“One more thing that I noticed: the landing page, when we just start the website, we haven't worked on it for quite a long time.”

The start screen got bunting, lemon-chilli charms and a tiny truck that drives the whole route when you press start.

The red lines are words Wispr Flow misheard. The interesting ones are Indian: my city's name, a ghat, a Maharashtra number plate, Kannada, even the "dipper" painted on the back of every truck. That's the problem I'd want to solve for Wispr Flow in India.
